outreach
The church has a number of outreach projects continuously running in the life of the church and many people participate in them throughout the year. It is at the heart of Reading Vineyard's vision to share the gospel with compassion and generosity and a big part of this is outreach to whoever is in need in our community.

Homegroups and people groups are also encouraged to have an outreach focus, participating in many different ways to bless individuals and the community around them.

The church is involved in a range of different projects. This section outlines many of these ministries and most importantly how you can get involved. We get involved in a number of collaborations with other local Christian charities already active in the community, such as Christian Community Action (CCA). They all, however, offer us a chance to play our part where we feel God may want us.

Free Money Management Course Arrives in Reading
In response to the growing financial crisis in the UK, a national charity has today announced that it will be offering local residents in Reading & Wokingham the chance to get their finances back on track with a free money management course called CAP Money. Christians Against Poverty, the national debt counselling charity, is running the three-week course through a partner church in Reading. Teaching good money management skills, budgeting tips and overall advice on how to curtail expenditure, the course will be run in partnership with Reading Vineyard Church and is open to everyone, whether they’re Christian or not.

The course begins on Monday 9th March and continues on 16th and 23rd March.  It starts at 8pm (arrive from 7:45pm) and will be held at SFL Group Ltd, Unit 23, Headley Park 10, Woodley, RG5 4SW.
Trained CAP Money Coaches Ruth Jeffery, Jo Kay and Ange Hancock will be on hand to lead the sessions and offer practical advice.

The course also boasts the feature of providing access to CAP’s debt counselling services for those with acute financial needs.
Ruth Jeffery, CAP Money Coach, said: “We’re thrilled to be able to launch CAP Money in Reading.  With the recent rapid increases in the price of food and fuel, there has never been a more important time for people to learn the principals of excellent budgeting. “Through the course we aim to bring hope to those in financial difficulty in the local community.  Whilst many in the UK are reeling from the growing credit crisis, we are convinced that, with the launch of CAP Money, many will be saved from slipping further into debt, whilst picking up excellent financial skills that will stand them in good stead for the rest of their lives.”
