Ephesians 6:18 tells us to "pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints." Paul's encouragement is to live and breathe in an atmosphere of prayer, dependance and trust in the goodness of God. Our desire is to live that out and experience the benefits of seeking God in all things.
We live this out in a number of ways in our faith community. Once a term the church has a prayer week and we ask all home groups to set aside that week's meeting for prayer and worship for the life and mission of the church.
In addition, we seek to pray regularly for the needs and requests of individuals in our church community. We have a small, dedicated group of intercessors who pray for all the specific prayer requests that members have requested through their Homegroup leaders, the Pastoral Care team, the Pastoral Welcome team or the staff team. Requests are treated confidentially and only shared with the team with your permission.
If you have any specific prayer requests the team would love to pray for you. It is important to us that everything that goes on in the life of the church, and in the lives of the members of the church, is covered by prayer.
"Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." Hebrews 4:16
