Our monthly youth service, known as Godma, happens on the second Sunday evening of each month at Bulmershe Leisure Centre. Godma is a service hosted by the young people but open to all. It is a chance for us to hang out and have an evening of worship, teaching and ministry. Our own young people head up the band and just about all the teams that make the service happen.
The History We decided to launch a monthly youth service back in June 2008... it grew rapidly and provided a place for young people to bring their mates and also hang out with other young people from other churches. It was initially aimed at a 14-18ish age range, but due to its success has now been opened up to the wider church... and anyone who wants to can come and check it out! |

At RVC we value young people as a very important part of the church of today. Our vision is the same as the adult church vision - "the transformation of society through the message and power of Jesus Christ". We value the Great Commandments (Matt. 22:36-39) and the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19-20) highly and seek to run a balanced program encouraging each other to follow them.
We work with young people aged 11-18, but for most of what we do, we separate into school year groups 7-9 (aka "The Happy Peeps") and years 10-13. Both age groups are involved in weekly home groups, weekly Sunday teaching, monthly socials and together putting on our monthly youth service known affectionately as Godma.
