homegroups
sofaHomegroups are at the heart of the church. At Reading Vineyard, we are committed to being more than simply a large group of people who gather together on a Sunday.

Homegroups provide the perfect smaller setting to meet with friends, a place of support and encouragement and a place to know and be known.

All homegroups vary, and you are encouraged to try to find one that will suit you. During a typical small group evening you might worship together, pray for each other, and have a time of sharing or teaching. Homegroups may also organise weekends away, community outreach projects and social activities.

Essentially they are a place where we can belong, receive pastoral care, grow in our faith and have fun. There is a wide range of groups right across Reading; you are welcome to try any of them.

compass How do I find a Homegroup?
You can see a list of current homegroups and their locations by going to the homegroups section of this site and clicking on homegroups search on the left menu, or you can pick up a selection of small group flyers with photos and contact numbers of the leaders from the information zone on Sundays. These have more details about where and when the groups take place. Feel free to then ring the leaders if you need more information about the group, or you need to know the exact location etc. All of the groups have an "open door" policy and welcome visitors. This allows you to find the group that best suits you, even though it's not necessarily the closest geographically.

Students
We have many students that regularly attend both on Sundays and to various homegroups during the week. However, as a student you may also be involved with CU or another weekly Christian group. By adopting a small group you can still minister in church and be really a part of it. All you need to do is tell the leaders of the group that you will be accountable to them and attend the group as often as you can.
